Idaho Aviation Foundation/Rebuild Big Creek Lodge .
With just a little more donor help In 2017, Idaho Aviation Foundation (IAF) will complete a five-year project to rebuild the historic Big Creek Lodge in remote central Idaho. The lodge was originally built in the 1930's and has a tremendous backcountry pilot and outdoor enthusiast following. Sadly, the lodge burned to the ground in October 2008. However, a happy future is in store for the old site; we broke ground for the new lodge in 2015 and will complete the work in 2017! Whether you will become a volunteer, donor or even a reader and contributor of Big Creek lore, we'd love you to be a part of the success story. See more at www.rebuildbigcreek.com.
The Idaho Aviation Foundation benefits general aviation in Idaho by supporting initiatives and projects designed to maintain, upgrade and develop airstrips, improve access, and promote safety at backcountry and recreational airports. Although IAF projects and grants primarily benefit general aviation users, many non-aviation outdoor enthusiasts also reap benefits from these efforts.
