Royal Family Kids' Camp
Royal Family Kids Camp is interdenominational camp for local children who have endured abuse and neglect and been placed within the foster care system. Children ages 6-11 from the Illinois side of the Mississippi River to the Illinois side of the Ohio River, and from Effingham to Metropolis are able to attend a week of Royal Family Kids Camp. Campers are able to take part in numerous activities such as high ropes courses, swimming, tubing, fishing, sporting events, etc. Throughout the day campers are exposed to God's amazing love through praise and worship, bible stories, dramas and a devotion time each evening. Royal Family Kids' Camp takes pride in the fact that campers are given a one to one or two campers for every one "Buddy" for the week. All campers who attend Royal Family Kids' Camp come completely free of charge. Royal Family Kids' Camp was awarded the Humanitarian of the Year award from DCFS.
Over the past seven years Royal Family Kids has exploded and we are reaching out to more foster children than ever before. RFK Camp has grown from 30 campers to 75 plus campers over the past five years. We would love to continue to grow and share love with as many foster children as possible, but as numbers continue to increase our need funding increases as well.
Amazing things are happening through RFK Camp. Foster children are able to come feel loved, the gift of hope is restored, and the healing process can begin but we need your help to make this happen! Without you RFKC isn't possible!
