Kansas City Warrior hockey
Kansas City Warriors Ice Hockey (KCWIH) is a program for disabled military veterans to participate in the sport of ice hockey in an environment adapted to the level of ability of the participating athlete. They educate, train, motivate, and encourage individuals who have physical or mental disabilities incurred during service to our country.

The program uses the game of ice hockey to build camaraderie and a sense of belonging, as well as a connection to the communnity that supports them. In addition, it assists veterans with disabilities in developing self-confidence and to assist in helping participants back into mainstream lifestyle they were accustomed to prior to their disabilities that will help the individual be more successful both within and outside a hockey environment.
