Pi Omicron Zeta Chapter - Zeta Phi Beta Sorority
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 16, 1920, on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC as the sister organization to Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Five women chose not to em-brace the tenets of established black so-rorities, and chartered Zeta Phi Beta So-rority to encourage the highest standards of scholarship through scientific, literary, cultural, and educational programs; pro-mote service projects on college campuses and in the community; foster sisterhood; and exemplify the ideal of Finer Woman-hood.
Pi Omicron Zeta (POZ) Chapter was chartered on January 16, 1997. POZ serves the Carroll County communities through several service projects which include our work with the March of Dimes, Carroll County Women and Children's Shelter, McDaniel College and the American Cancer Society.
