Emily's ASB trip
I need your help! This year instead of going home for spring break, I am dedicating myself to Alternative Spring Break in Kentucky and I am asking for your help and support to reach my goal!
Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is the opportunity for college kids, like me, to trade their free time during spring break to do something remarkable by volunteering! The ASB program places teams of students in communities, both domestically and globally, to engage in service work and experiential learning. By immersing students in diverse environments ASB allows for students to experience and understand social issues in a meaningful way. I will be volunteering for the Christian Appalachian Project, which offers home repairs to Appalachian families in need. CAP's mission is building hope, transforming lives, and sharing Christ's love through service in Appalachia. (You can read more here http://http//www.christianapp.org)
The ASB program has a very low participation fee so that all students are able to become part of this rich legacy, which is why the support of our friends and family is absolutely crucial. Your gift today will help me pay for service equipment, travel fare, lodging, and meals.
I hope you will join in my efforts to aid this project, as it means so much to me. I ask for your support of this extraordinary program and greatly appreciate your generosity.
