Oregon Reign Fastpitch Softball
Since it's inception in 1997, the Oregon Reign Fastpitch Softball Program has prided itself on developing players of all ages. Carrie Dose went to her first try out at the young age of ten, when she and her parents realized that her passion and skills required more intense coaching than the community teams and Little League, that she'd been playing in since six years old, could provide. She has been with the Oregon Reign ever since.
Her goal is to obtain a college scholarship. Carrie works toward her goal weekly with before and after school practices and workouts, private pitching lessons, and twice weekly team practices. She manages this schedule, as well as her rigorous studies in Churchill's International High School college preparatory program.
The Oregon Reign program differentiates itself from other local fastpitch programs by the caliber of tournaments they play in. With her team, Carrie has traveled as far south as Palmdale, California and as far north as Vancouver, Washington. This year her team will broaden their horizons into Idaho and Colorado.
Oregon Reign has had the pleasure of seeing many of their athletes reach their goals of playing at the next level, in colleges such as the University of Oregon, Texas A&M, Columbia University and the University of North Dakota, to name a few. This suits Carrie just fine since she sees herself playing college ball in three and a half short years, as well.
