SAFE (Safe, Affirming, Family Environment) is a non-profit offering resources and programs for foster youth and foster families, including youth in group homes and those aging out of care, at-risk youth, youth with mental and behavioral challenges, and under-served youth. Operating on a ranch in Leipers Fork, Tennessee, SAFE offers youth and families an opportunity to experience a healing connection through animals and one another. Through its transitional living summer program, youth aging out of foster care have an opportunity to live on the ranch, working with the animals, while learning life-skills in preparation for independent living. We hope those leaving our ranch and experiencing our programs will realize that in spite of our differences, we are much more the same. The ranch is truly a place where ALL can feel SAFE.
