Pieta House - Pieta House, the centre for the prevention of self-harm or suicide opened over nine years ago with Lucan in County Dublin the centre of operations. In the intervening years they have seen and helped over 18,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm, and opened up eight subsequent centres, three in the greater Dublin areas and five further centres to cater for the rest of the country in Limerick, Cork, Tipperary, Galway and Kerry.
Marymount University Hospital & Hospice is a healthcare facility which provides two distinct services. The elderly care facility provides respite care, intermediate palliative care and continuing care for older people. Marymount Hospice provides care to patients with progressive illness, both cancer and non-cancer, at a time when pain or other symptom issues need addressing.
Rape Crisis Network Ireland
Rape Crisis Network Ireland (RCNI) is a specialist information and resource centre on rape and all forms of sexual violence with a proven capacity in strategic leadership. We are the representative, umbrella body for our member Rape Crisis Centres who provide free advice, counselling and support for survivors of sexual abuse.
The UCC Surgeon Noonan Society is a registered charity whose aim is to provide medical aid to Africa, through fundraising and volunteerism. Surgeon Noonan is a well-established society, founded in 1977 to commemorate the late Mr Tim Noonan, a UCC Medical School surgeon.
