Bird Gardens of Naples .
The Bird Gardens of Naples is a nonprofit organization whose sole concern is welfare of parrots in captivity and conservation of parrots in the wild. We created this desperately needed haven to provide sanctuary for birds that are abandoned, abused, or in a need of a home for any reason. Our caregivers are knowledgeable in avian medicine, nutrition, behavior, and spend many hours a day interacting with the parrots.
Amidst the sometimes exuberant squawks of hundreds of birds at the sanctuary, you will also get a feeling of peace. Like a meandering river, the paths that wind through the property lead to many beautiful sites, laughs, and delights. Our parrots are surrounded by natural beauty and given the opportunity to enjoy their lives as they wish. We provide them with large flight aviaries equipped with watering system, natural perching, and multiple forms of enrichment.
Located in the green space of Corkscrew Swamp, you will have the opportunity to see, learn, and interact with hundreds of birds from origins around the world. Groups can enter our large macaw aviary to take photos and hold the parrots. Tours last approximately two hours with several miles of walking trails and a variety of flora, fauna, bees and butterflies. Please wear comfortable shoes and don’t forget your sunscreen and bug spray. Feel free to bring unsalted nuts to feed the birds, no peanuts please. We do not charge a fee for our tours, but donations are greatly appreciated and go along way to help keep the birds happy and healthy. Please visit our website to schedule a tour.
