The Links, Incorporated, established in 1946, is one of the nation’s oldest and largest non profit volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. The international organization boasts over 42 chapters located in the U.S., District of Columbia and Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

The outstanding programming of The Links, Incorporated has five core service areas: National Trends and Services, The Arts, Services to Youth, International Trends and Services and Health and Human Services. These programs are implemented through strategies such as public information ,education, economic development, and public policy campaigns.

Plano North Metroplex Chapter, The Links, Incorporated Impacts Lives through programming such as SWAG – "Serving Wisdom and Grace" in partnership with the programs of the Plano Independent School District. Monthly interactions provide a platform to introduce students to a variety of activities including the Symphony, STEM Hands On Experiments, Healthy Lifestyles, as well as, information about the United Nations.

Our community engagement is leveraged through agencies including The Plano Housing Authority, Douglas Community Center and Richland College Upward Bound program.
