Californians Building Bridges is raising funds for hurricane relief on the island of Cuba. Your donations will make a tremendous impact in the lives of Cuban families.
Raffle prizes include the following: a bottle of Cuban rum and a box of Cuban cigars or a drawing by Luis Copperi. Winners will be contacted after the drawing and prizes will be shipped or can be picked up in downtown Sacramento.
In response to the tragic news about Hurricane Irma’s devastating effect on the entire island, ALL proceeds generated from this raffle will be directed to hurricane relief in Cuba. Hurricane Irma hit the island last Friday night as a Category 5 storm, tearing through the entire country harder than anyone had predicted. The majority of the country remains without basic resources including food, drinking water and power, and more storms are expected later this week.
In partnership with Father Usera’s Daycare Center, a private organization serving local families in Havana, and Cantores de Cienfuegos (the Cienfuegos Choir), CBB will direct all funds towards families in need of relief from the effects of the hurricane.
Raffle drawing will take place on the evening of September 16.
Californians Building Bridges (CBB) is a 501 c (3) organization that supports people-to-people cultural, humanitarian and entrepreneurial exchange between the people of Cuba and California.
