The Executive’s Ball will once again be holding a car raffle to raise funds for the 2018 Executive’s Ball. This year we will raffle a 2018 Toyota Prius C (winner to select color). Your ticket purchase supports the County’s arts and humanities organizations and gives you a chance to win a car.
The 2018 Executive's Ball Raffle will provide funds for over 80+ arts and humanities organizations in Montgomery County. Arts and humanities organizations can also actively participate in our fundraising efforts by reaching out to their constituents to buy tickets. With your ticket purchase you can directly support your favorite local cultural organization.
How can your raffle ticket purchase can support your favorite arts/humanities organization? Here’s how:
For every raffle ticket purchased on an organization's behalf, half of each ticket price ($25) goes directly to that organization. This year, thanks to a matching grant we have, that organization will receive another $25. This means that for every $50 ticket you purchase on behalf of your favorite arts or humanities organization, it will receive $50 back!
For example, if you purchase two (2) tickets at $50 each for $100 from an organization that organization will receive $100 back as a grant ($50 from the Ball, and $50 from our matching grant). It adds up fast–so please consider supporting your favorite organization by buying raffle tickets.
The Montgomery County Executive’s Ball came into being when Sid Kramer became Montgomery County Executive in 1986. Sid’s wife, Betty Mae Kramer, instituted the event as a way to raise funds and visibility for organizations working to support the arts and humanities in Montgomery County, Maryland.
The Ball was instrumental in putting these organizations on the map for the first time in the County’s history, and has taken place annually in December ever since. Since its inception, the Montgomery County Executive’s Ball has become the single-most significant social, political, and philanthropic event of the year in Montgomery County. It brings together politicians, the business community, philanthropists, and the arts and humanities community, who all join in supporting, sustaining, and promoting the cultural assets in our community.
Last year the Ball raised over $300,000 for 80+ cultural organizations in the County.
